Avatar BasicsChoosing an AvatarWhen you first get Vivaty Scenes on Facebook or AIM, you will be prompted to select an avatar. Currently, you can have one avatar at a time, and you can change your avatar whenever you like.
Changing Your AvatarYou can change your avatars look and style...even gender! Currently, you have only one avatar, and their collection of gender-specific clothes.
To change your avatar, click on "My Stuff" at the bottom and select the "Dress" button.
From there you'll see a variety of clothing options. If you click on "Avatars" you can change your base avatar style and gender.
Moving Your AvatarThere are several ways to move your avatar around Vivaty Scenes: General Movement1. Click and drag to move around. 2. The directional keys also allow you to move your avatar.
Positioning your viewpoint (camera position)1. Right click and drag to rotate your camera position. 2. Use the mouse wheel to pan in and out. If you hold down shift and use the mouse wheel, you can position your camera at different vertical heights. Viewing ObjectsDouble click to zoom! We are very excited about a new feature that lets you zoom in on a media object (photo, photo gallery, video). To use it, double-click on a media object. The camera zooms in close but your avatar stays put.
Avatar ProfilesNow your friends can find out more about you by viewing your profile. You can edit your profile page by right-clicking on your avatar and selecting “Edit” ->”About Me”. You can update your profile with your status and add links to your favorite websites! You can view a user profiles by right-clicking on the avatar and selecting “About Me”.
Getting Un-StuckIn some rare situations, you may find your avatar stuck in some way. Try any of the following to get clear of your obstacles: - Click the "escape" key to move your avatar to a new position. - Right click with your mouse to reveal the views menu. - Click the "n" key to automatically change to the "next" viewpoint. - Click the My Vivaty menu and then Views to change your view. - Once you change your view, it’s easier to see a new way to move away from the object. - If all else fails, re-enter your scene.
GesturingIf you are happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it! Don’t miss our new Moods feature (in My Vivaty / Moods menu) to make your idle animations Happy, Sad, Angry, Flirty or Chillin’.
When you type certain keys, you'll notice your avatar matches your text. E.g., type a smiley :) or type /wave and watch your avatar react.
